*Experimental conditions were 50 mM acetic/acetate pH 4.0; 50 mM Glycine/HCl pH 2.5–3.5. The error intervals were calculated as described in the text. The values of thermodynamic magnitudes for the U⇆In and I⇆In equilibriums were estimated for a Pref = 100 µM. The heat capacity functions obtained from the fittings, in kJ·K−1·mol−1 were: pH 4: CpN = −12.8+(0.105*T); CpU = −9.3+(0.084*T); CpIn = −62.4+(0.233*T); CpI = −35.4+(0.158*T). pH 3.5: CpN = 2.66+(0.056*T); CpU = 12.1+(0.034*T); CpIn = −96.6+(0.348*T); pH 3: CpN = 1.50+(0.059*T); CpU = 15.1+(0.026*T); CpIn = −11.7+(0.105*T); pH 2.5: CpN = 10.3+(0.032*T); CpU = 18.1+(0.018*T); CpIn = −15.3+(0.114*T).aData obtained from two-state analysis.
