The plant-derived bioactive extracts have been recorded to exhibit diverse biological activities, including enhancing the growth performance, immune response, antioxidative defense and so on. Furthermore, they are characterized by sustainability, high efficiency, no toxicity and no residual, making them become a prevalent strategy for antibiotic alternatives and promoting the growth and health of aquatic animals. In this study, shrimp were fed with osthole (OST) and OST-tetramethylpyraozine (TMP) compound for 42 days. Subsequently, high-throughput sequencing was employed to analyze the gut microbiota of Litopenaeus vannamei. The objective of this research is to ascertain the potential beneficial effects of OST and TMP on the gut microbiota of L. vannamei, providing efficient physiological feed additives for crustacean.
