Landholder and Community Resilience in the Southern Rivers

This project will conserve and protect species and ecosystems of national significance
across the Southern Rivers region through site and property scale adoption of improved
land management practices, nested within a landscape connectivity and multi-species
planning framework where possible. Resilience of urban waterways and coastal
environments will be enhanced through river, estuary and wetland protection.
This sub-project will build strong partnerships with Indigenous communities, promoting the
continued use, support and renewal of indigenous ecological knowledge to underpin
biodiversity conservation. Through extension and farm planning services this sub project will
deliver conservation grassy ecosystems of national significance whilst promoting
sustainable agriculture.
