资源简介:
F.A. D'Amelio and G. De Dominicis were the 'tutelary deities' in Salento area and their dialectal poetry was enriched by the poet's creations Silvio G. Vacca (1893-1937) from Surbo, near Lecce the capital of Terra d'Otranto. Vacca thought it was necessary to redesign ideological solicitations, collective emotions and lyrical suggestions, between village and nation, between his Terra d'Otranto and the young Italy. On the eve of the first World War, he wrote an extraordinary little poem, La Uerra noscia (Our War, 1915). In this poem he tried to awaken sentimental memories and love for his country, blocked by the general disappointment of political scandals; he considered the war as the final act of the Risorgimento: the first World War was a 'Great' War, because it was the fourth War of Independence. So the wealthy of his cultural background, his young enthusiasm and his civil and 'national' engagement brought Vacca to a powerful poetry, with colloquial and popular verses, according to authentic feelings and deep mood. These were also the characteristics of his following dialectal lyrics.
