ffects of herbal formulas on growth performance, apparent digestibility, antioxidant capacity, and rumen microbiome in fattening lambs under heat stress

The objective of the present study was to investigate the effects of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) supplementation on growth performance, apparent digestibility, antioxidant capacity, and rumen microbiome in fattening lambs under heat stress (HS). Four Chinese herbs, including Elsholtzia ciliate, Rhubarb, Mangnolia officinalis, and Scutellaria baicalensiswas formed by a combination of Chinese herbs based on the Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shi in Chinese theory, were selected to prepare the experimental herbal medicine prescription.
