This data directory contains the roster of recipients of the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Award from 2018 to the present. Pursuant to relevant regulations including the *Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award Measures*, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government organizes the evaluation of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award. This dataset covers individuals who were granted the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Award by the provincial government after completing a standardized review process: comprehensive evaluation by the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award Review Committee, review and verification by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and final approval by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. These awardees have made major scientific discoveries by elucidating natural phenomena, characteristics and laws in the fields of basic research and applied basic research.
