The project objective was to try out various preventive measures in preschool to prevent the development of reading and writing difficulties, and analyzing different variables in terms of prediction. The project aimed to map the cognitive, linguistic and social conditions at the start of last preschool year. This was done with a pretest containing morphological and phonological awareness training. Immediate training effect for linguistic / cognitive development and reading and spelling development was assessed. A long-term assessment was undertaken by analyzing literacy by the end of 1st grade.
