Synthetic analogues of were developed at AIMS in conjunction with a commercial licensing agreement with ICI Australia. The analogues have potential use in suncare formulations and for non-biological applications such as plastics and protective coatings.Patents were taken out on these synthetic analogues.
To produce synthetically compounds with potential for use as sunscreening agents.
