Fusarium graminearum species complex species isolated in Ethiopia in 2022.

In 2022, there was a Fusarium head blight outbreak in Ethiopia with massive loses. Our research goal was to provide insights into the etiology of this disease outbreak. We obtained 64 isolates from the outbreak and identified diverse members of the Fusarium graminearum species complex (FGSC), including F. graminearum. F. boothii, F. aethiopicum, and a new species, F. kistleri.
