Indonesian Genomes Project of Syzygium species (Myrtaceae)
收藏资源简介:
The Indonesian Genomes Project of Syzygium Species of Myrtaceae is an initiative aimed at generating comprehensive genomic resources for one of Indonesia's most diverse and ecologically significant plant genera. Syzygium, which includes economically valuable species such as clove (Syzygium aromaticum) and many indigenous fruit-bearing and medicinal taxa, remains underrepresented in global genomic databases despite its high species richness in Indonesia. This project focuses on whole genome sequencing, assembly, and annotation of selected Syzygium species to uncover genetic diversity, evolutionary relationships, and biosynthetic pathways associated with key metabolites. The resulting genomic data will support taxonomy, conservation strategies, sustainable utilization, and molecular breeding of Syzygium across Indonesia.
