An Empirical Study on Fiscal Expenditure Efficiency and Green Economy Efficiency in China

Data describe: The data in this paper are applicable to the empirical study of fiscal expenditure efficiency and green economy efficiency, where fiscal expenditure efficiency is obtained using a three-stage DEA measure. Green economic efficiency is obtained using the super-efficient SBM model. The remaining variables include control variables, instrumental variables, and applicable to city attribute classification.Data source: The data were taken from the China City Statistical Yearbook, the China Energy Statistical Yearbook for each prefecture-level city, and the Social Development Bulletin; some missing values were filled in using mean values, and all types of monetary quantity indicators were deflated using 2006 as the base period.Variable Description: Green economy efficiency (GEE); Fiscal expenditure efficiency (FEE); Urbanization level (URBAN); Economic development level (ECO); Education level (EDU); Industry structure (IND); Innovation level (INNOV); Openness to the outside world (OPEN); Fiscal autonom(FA); Tenure length of officers (TEN)
