Exiguobacterium sp. Strain BMC-KP was isolated as part of a environmental sampling project at Bryn Mawr College. Sequencing and assembly of its genome will allow comparison of this strain to other Exiguobacteria and inform our knowledge of the genetic diversity of this microbial species across its many habitats.
