The purpose of the experiment was to explore the kinetics of CD4 mRNA, IFNg mRNA, and IFNg protein in PMA/Ionomycin stimulated PBMCs over 5 hours. Conclusion: IFNg mRNA positive cells were observed at 30 min, reaching steady state by 120 min. INFg protein expression was first observed at 60 min, increasing at 120 min. Decline in CD4 mRNA expression became apparent after 120 min.
