Clinical test cases for model-based dose calculation algorithm commissioning, QA and benchmarking, for 192Ir HDR brachytherapy of gynecologic cancers
收藏资源简介:
The current datasets accompany the research article titled “Clinical test cases for model-based dose calculation algorithm commissioning, QA and benchmarking, for 192Ir HDR brachytherapy of gynecologic cancers” submitted to Medical Physics (2025) by Vasiliki Peppa, Maude Robitaille, Fatemeh Akbari, Shirin A. Enger, Rowan M. Thomson, Firas Mourtada, and Gabriel P. Fonseca. These datasets build upon previously developed, clinically relevant test cases by the joint AAPM/ESTRO/ABS/ABG Working Group (WGDCAB), designed to support the commissioning of Model-Based Dose Calculation Algorithms (MBDCAs) in brachytherapy applications. The datasets include two test cases based on an anonymized, representative cervical cancer patient treated with intracavitary ¹⁹²Ir HDR brachytherapy using a tandem and ring applicator. Dosimetric calculations were performed using two commercially available Treatment Planning Systems (TPSs) employing MBDCAs, along with three Monte Carlo (MC) codes to generate reference dosimetric data. Contents: Reference TPS – Includes 111 synthetic CT images of the patient model, RT structure set (RS), RT plan (RP), and RT dose (RD) calculated using an MBDCA algorithm, all in DICOM RT format. Reference MC – Contains the same DICOM files, with RD data corresponding to MC simulation results using MCNP. User Guide – A PDF document providing instructions for TPS MBDCA testing using the patient model. MC Input Files – Files necessary to perform the Monte Carlo simulations presented in the study. Usage:If you use these datasets, please cite the original paper and reference the dataset using the DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15720996
