Identifying microbial source tracking markers in animal gut and manure microbiomes

Animal fecal contamination poses significant risks to water quality and public health. The sources of contamination can be identified using library-independent microbial source tracking (MST). In this study, we aim to identify novel animal-associated markers of fecal pollution with the aim to improve accuracy of library-independent MST methods.
