ERMA (TMEM94) is an essential component of endoplasmic reticulum P-type Mg2+ ATPase

To confirm the endogenous ERMA localization, we generated a polyclonal antibody against human ERMA C-terminal peptide. The C-terminal ERMA peptide sequence is fully conserved in human, mice, and several other species. Primary murine hepatocytes were infected with adenovirus expressing ER marker Sec61-mCherry, and cells were stained with ERMA primary antibody, and secondary antibody conjugated with Alexafluor488 for immunofluorescence. Similar to human ERMA, the mouse orthologue is also localized in the ER (Figure 2H and Figure S4C).
