资源简介:
The Trait Profiler – Jungian Preference Scale (TP-JPS) is a personality assessment designed to measure individual differences based on Jungian psychological preferences using a structured, self-report format. The present study aimed to evaluate the face validity and self-perceived accuracy of the TP-JPS through an introverted participant sample, focusing on whether individuals recognized and endorsed the personality profiles generated by the assessment as representative of their lived experiences and self-concept.A total of 44 participants completed the introverted version of the TP-JPS. Participants were selected based on a demonstrated preference for introversion as indicated by their assessment scores. Following completion of the TP-JPS, each participant received a comprehensive personality profile corresponding to their dominant Jungian type. Profiles included preference percentages, cognitive and behavioral descriptions, work style tendencies, interpersonal patterns, stress responses, and personal growth suggestions. Participants were then asked to evaluate whether the generated profile accurately reflected their personality, using a binary self-report confirmation measure (Yes/No), accompanied by a confidence rating on a five-point Likert scale and optional qualitative feedback. Results indicated that all 44 participants (100%) reported that their TP-JPS personality profile accurately represented them. Confidence ratings were consistently high, with a mean confidence level of 4.45 out of 5, suggesting strong perceived alignment between the assessment output and participants’ self-understanding. Qualitative comments further supported these findings, frequently describing the profiles as “accurate,” “relatable,” or “personally meaningful,” particularly in relation to cognitive style, decision-making patterns, and emotional processing. The most frequently identified personality types within the sample were INTJ, INFP, and INFJ, reflecting expected distributions within an introverted population. These findings provide preliminary evidence supporting the face validity of the TP-JPS, indicating that individuals generally recognize and affirm the personality descriptions produced by the assessment as reflective of their own traits and behaviors. The high rate of self-confirmation suggests that the TP-JPS effectively communicates Jungian preference constructs in a manner that is understandable and subjectively meaningful to users. However, the study’s reliance on self-report confirmation limits conclusions regarding predictive, convergent, or discriminant validity. The study is subject to several limitations. The sample size was modest, and participants were limited to introverted individuals, which restricts generalizability to broader populations. Additionally, the use of self-perceived accuracy as the primary outcome measure may be influenced by response bias or familiarity with personality typologies. Future research should include larger and more diverse samples, comparative analyses with established personality instruments, and longitudinal designs to examine the stability and behavioral relevance of TP-JPS profiles over time.In conclusion, this study supports the TP-JPS as a potentially useful tool for personality profiling within Jungian frameworks, demonstrating strong self-recognition and perceived accuracy among introverted participants. Further empirical investigation is warranted to establish its psychometric robustness and broader applicability.
