SLAF-seq based genetic diversity and structure of geodorum eulophioides, an endangered terrestrial orchid species with extremely small populations in China.

To date, there has been no study on the genetic diversity and population structure of the natural population of G. eulophioides in the entire known distribution. In this study, we attempted to assess the genetic diversity and population structure of ten field populations of ninety-four individuals of G. eulophioides in China and identify the potential local adaptation genes using SLAF-seq-identified SNPs. The results of this study will contribute to understanding the evolutionary history of G. eulophioides and provide a scientific basis for its conservation and management.
