FASTA assembly file and annotation file of Hylyphantes graminicola were saved in this dataset. A ".gz" file of genome assembly and a GFF file of annotation were included. Long-reads (PacBio), short-reads (Illumina), and Hi-C technology were used to produce the near chromosome-level genome of the sheet-web spider, Hylyphantes graminicola (Linyphiidae). We mainly used software Nextdenovo v2.2 and NextPolish v1.1 to assemble the genome. We applied three strategies for gene structure prediction across the genome: homology-based annotation, de novo prediction, and RNAseq-based annotation. Obtaining high-quality chromosome-level genomes from spiders not only facilitates venom research and toxin resource application, but also can improve comparative genomic analysis in other important traits, like the evolution of silk or behavior.
