Anoplopoma fimbria breed:Golden Eagle Sablefish Genome sequencing and assembly

We sequenced and assembled the genome of sablefish (Anoplopoma fimbria) to add a chromosome-level sablefish genome assembly to the NCBI. A previous sablefish assembly is available on NCBI, but it is not at the chromosome-level. In this newer version, we used Oxford Nanopore sequences to generate a de novo assembly, polished the assembly with these reads, and polished the assembly with Illumina reads as well. The contigs from this assembly were mapped to chromosomes with a new genetic map and HiC data. Due to technical issues, DNA was collected from multiple individuals and tissues to produce this assembly.
