Styli used for my stylus typology for northern Europe

This is a list of styli used for my stylus typology for northern Europe, with exception of styli from my five comparative towns (see below). The research was carried out as part of my PhD at Lund University: "Parchment: demand and supply in medieval Scandinavia". The list is called Appendix 6b (Appendix 6 is the printed summary of sites and stylus types). The styli as a whole were not systematically surveyed, but come from a mix of published sources and surveys of finds from sites in museum storage. For details on the typology, see the included metadata file. Note that the styli from the Swedish towns Lund, Lödöse, Skara, Sigtuna and Uppsala, which were fully surveyed, have not been included in this dataset but can be found in Appendix 3 of the PhD thesis.
