PREVENTION OF HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS INFECTIONS

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the leading causes of cervical cancer and other oncological diseases. The main methods of HPV infection prevention remain vaccination, safe sexual practices, and regular screening. This review summarizes current knowledge on primary and secondary prevention strategies, their effectiveness and impact on morbidity, and examines the prospects for new approaches aimed at reducing the global burden of HPV-associated diseases.
