This is the supplementary data set for the original research article titled 'Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Healthcare Professionals and Medical Students regarding Probiotics and Prebiotics in Lahore, Pakistan; A Cross-Sectional Study. This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice of healthcare professionals and medical students regarding prebiotics and probiotics in different health conditions. A total of 417 participants were included, and data was collected using a pre-formed questionnaire. The results showed that most respondents had poor knowledge and practice regarding prebiotics and probiotics. The study concluded that a lack of knowledge was the primary barrier to using pre- and probiotics. The authors suggest that educational tools like curriculum and training programs should include evidence-based information to raise awareness among healthcare professionals about their benefits and address concerns associated with their use in treating patients.
