资源简介:
This dataset reports results from two field experiments at Formartin, Queensland. In a survey of the experimental sites before the experiment began, one experiment initially had 2490 Pratylenchus thornei/kg soil, the other had 8150 P. thornei/kg soil at 0–0.9 m soil depth. The effect of P. thornei, residual from a weed-free fallow and pre-cropping with several cultivars each of barley (Hordeum vulgare), faba bean (Vicia faba), chickpea (Cicer arietinum), and wheat (Triticum aestivum) (Phase 1) is reported in this dataset, and the effect of those nematode populations on the growth of wheat cultivars with intolerance or tolerance to P. thornei (Phase 2) was determined and reported in a separate dataset. Soil was collected from each plot in May in each year before sowing the Phase 1 and Phase 2 crops to a depth of 150 cm and soil samples were divided into 7 depth intervals for nematode extraction. Nematodes were extracted by the Whitehead tray method and identified and counted using a microscope. A full description is provided in the associated journal article.
