Main goods purchased for stockpiling due to COVID-19 in South Korea 2020

According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on panic buying after the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, around 52 percent of South Korean respondents stated that they stocked up on dry food items such as rice, noodles, pasta and flour. In the same survey, 15.4 percent of South Korean respondents said they had engaged in panic buying and the main reason people bought goods in bulk was they were afraid supermarkets or shops would run out of certain items soon.
