High organic matter preservation during ensiling promotes the material conversion and energy output. In this study, the effects of ensiling distillers grains and rice straw on methane production was evaluated, as distillers grains are highly acidic. Distillers grains and rice straw were mixed for ensiling to produce methane at five carbon nitrogen ratios. It suggests that the ensiling with more distillers grains is a viable strategy for establishing a high energy output ensiling and anaerobic digestion system.
