Developing evidence for the management of the third stage of labour and prevention of postpartum haemorrhage

As the rates of postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) and caesarean section, continue to rise, the prevention and management of PPH should be a priority in averting haemorrhage related maternal morbidity and mortality. This thesis offers some important and novel insights into PPH prevention, management and outcome in various contexts.
