Latin America: leading botnets in organizations H2 2021

In the second half of 2021, XorDDoS was the most prevalent botnet among organizations in Latin America, with an attack detection rate of 3100 per organization. XorDDoS is a trojan malware that enables to launch of large-scale DDoS attacks targeting Linux-based operating systems. Second-ranked BadRabbit had a detection rate of 2300 in Latin American organizations. The latter is a ransomware attack that locks victims' access to their servers, devices, or files.
