Raw Data and Analytical Validation for AQbD-Optimized Paper-Based Microfluidic Device ($\mu$PAD) for Iron Determination/3D printing
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the comprehensive raw data and statistical validation datasets associated with the development of microfluidic paper-based analytical device (PAD) for the colorimetric quantification of impurities and total iron in pharmaceutical iron sucrose formulations. The device optimization was governed by the Analytical Quality by Design (AQbD) framework, focusing on critical analytical procedure attributes (Mean Intensity and Homogeneity). By applying Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Monte Carlo simulations, a highly robust Method Operable Design Region (MODR) was established, ensuring that the analytical performance meets the predefined Analytical Target Profile (ATP) requirements. This work forms the foundation of Chapter 4 of the associated doctoral thesis and has been published in Talanta (DOI: 10.1016/j.talanta.2025.129346).This repository also contains a video demonstration of the automated fabrication of radial 8-zone microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs) directly onto Whatman Grade 1 chromatography paper (180 μm thickness) using a desktop Prusa i3 MK3 Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printer. Polylactic acid (PLA) filament is deposited through a 0.4 mm brass nozzle at 210 °C onto a 60 °C print bed at a travel speed of 15–20 mm/s. The printing process operates under the experimentally optimized geometric and calibration parameters established in this thesis: a live Z-axis nozzle offset of −0.6 mm, an extruded layer height of 0.10 mm, and a barrier wall thickness of 0.4 mm.
