Analysis of progenitor cells of P0 rats overexpressing Krüppel-like factor 4 (Klf4). Klf4 is a key transcriptional regulator of differentiation potential. Results provide insight into the role of Klf4 in the retina. Retinal explants were dissociated 39 h after in vitro electroporation and the transfected population (GFP+) was isolated by FACS. The transcriptome of the sorted GFP cells from control and Klf4-overexpressing cells were examined by microarray.
