Lobster assessment NOAA/NMFS Unallied Science Project, Completion Report

This Unallied Science Grant was used to support our multi-faceted approach to studying the Massachusetts coastal American lobster (Homarus americanus) resource. This sampling strategy has been deployed by the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (MADMF) Coastal Lobster Investigations Project during the last 21 years and includes long-term monitoring of the American lobster in Massachusetts coastal waters by collecting catch-per-unit-effort, density, and biological data temporally and areally with sufficient precision for stock assessments.
