Camelus bactrianus has specific mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue throughout the large intestine, and the species-unique cystic Peyper's patches are the major type. However, detailed information about the molecular characteristics of the specific cystic PPs remains unclear. This study applied transcriotpmic analysis, untargeted metabolomics, and 16S rDNA sequencing to compare the significant differences between the cystic PPs samples and the adjacent normal intestine tissues during the healthy stage of three youth camelus bactrianus. We found that samples from PPS were well separated from NPPS , indicated by dimension reduction methods, though samples from PPS showed higher dispersion within the group.
