Bacteria isolated from mine water in Austria

This study focused on isolating bacterial strains from water samples collected at both active and inactive mining sites in the alpine regions of Austria. We isolated bacteria carrying antimicrobial and metal resistance genes from both sites. Genomic analy- sis revealed that bacteria with antimicrobial resistance genes were also likely to contain metal re- sistance genes.
