Snow algae, impurities, and geochemistry of snowpacks on Gulkana Glacier, Alaska in 2024

This dataset has the following contents.
1. Algal cell volume biomass were calculated from cell density and cell sizes.
2. The amount of impurities, organic matter, and mineral were measured by the following method. After the samples were dried (60 degreeC, 24-48 hours) (EO-450V, ETTAS, Japan) and weighed, they were combusted for 5 hour at 500 degreeC in an electric furnace (SSTR-13R, ISUZU, Japan).
3. Water stable isotopes were analyzed using water stable isotopes analyzer (DLT-100, LGR).
4. Major chemical solute concentrations were measured using an ion chromatography system (ICS-1100, Thermofisher, USA).
5. Pigment concentration were measured using a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) (SHIMADZU)
