This dataset contains
Precipitation intensity (1 min and 5 min)
SYNOP/METAR codes (1 min and 5 min)
Accumulated precipitation (since last reset)
Particle counts for each size bin (sizes from 0.16 to 8mm)
Particle velocities for each velocity bin (0.2 to 20m/s)
Additional sensor diagnostics
These measurements were taken at Els Plans, Spain (41.590111N, 1.029363 W, 334m) using a Thies Clima laser precipitation monitor. These are raw data that do not contain quality flags. Data were plotted and checked during the campaign. Definitions of particle size and velocity bins can be found in section 7.3.1 of the manufacturer's manual. Additionally found within the same section of the manual is information on which variable is recorded in each column; the data take the format of telegram 4.(https://www.thiesclima.com/db/dnl/5.4110.xx.x00_Laser_Precipitation_Monitor_eng.pdf).
Data were output every minute.
