The data contains fish randomly selected from the catch in a number of Kenyan southern fringing reefs landing sites between 2010 and 2016. The species were then classified by a number of traits and my the gear caught. These data are the basis for evaluating the impacts of fishing gears on the fish traits. The full paper is published in the Journal of Applied Ecology.
