Our team utilized single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial multi-omics to explore the spatial landscape of kidney in mice with hyperuricemia at single-cell level Overall design: Male urate oxidase knockout (Uox-KO) mice and male wild-type mice were purchased from GemPharmatech (Nanjing, China). The corporation knocked out exons 2-4 of the mouse Uox gene on the C57BL/6J background to obtain the Uox-KO model. This model is an ideal animal model for screening and evaluating drugs for treating hyperuricemia due to the accumulation of uric acid in mice. our team figured the spatiotemporal atlas of hyperuricemic nephropathy by applying single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics and spatial metabolomics in the Uox-KO mouse model.
