Latilactobacillus sakei Wikim0185 alleviates allergic asthma by inducing tolerogenic dendritic cells through epigenetic rewriting

This study highlights the potential of Wikim0185, a strain isolated from Kimchi, in mitigating Th2-driven inflammation in allergic asthma. Wikim0185 promoted tolerogenic DCs through epigenetic rewriting via histone modifications, leading to an increased proportion of Foxp3+ Tregs in the draining lymph nodes. Consequently, it effectively alleviated allergic asthma symptoms and reduced excessive Th2 cytokine release.
