资源简介:
In November 2024 a mutlidisciplinary group of scientists and local experts sampled plants, fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals at three sites in the Acarai-Corentyne Corridor of southern Guyana. This dataset includes information on the geographic location and other characteristics of fish sampling stations, camera trap stations, bird audio recorder sites, bat audio recorder sites, and eDNA sampling sites. The full report of the rapid inventory was published in 2025 as: Pitman, N., C. Rutt, L. S. de Souza, R. E. Oakley, F. Carrasco-Rueda, S. Picq, and J. M. Campbell, eds. 2025. ## Description of the data and file structure
This dataset consists of 19 maps showing locations where biodiversity was sampled by a large team of scientists during a rapid inventory of Guyanaâs Acarai-Corentyne Corridor on 6â24 November 2024. The expedition was co-led by the Field Museum and Guyanaâs Protected Areas Commission, with support from local experts from three neighboring Amerindian communities.
All maps in the dataset refer to the three campsites visited during the inventory: two along the upper Essequibo River and one at the juncture of the New and Corentyne rivers. The three campsites, all temporary sites with no long-term infrastructure, were:
Camp Amuku (Essequibo watershed; 5-11 November 2024): 01° 49' 36.95\" N 58° 32' 33.8\" W
Camp Monkey Jump (Essequibo and New watersheds; 11-16 November 2024):Â ...,
