Lindos Warship Relief (Cast)

This cast is of a 2nd-Century BCE realistic bas-relief of the stern of a hellenistic-era warship, probably a triere or a trihemiolia. The original relief is carved on to a rock face on the Acropolis of Lindos, Rhodes, and is still visible today. The relief served as a base for a portrait statue of Hagesandros son of Mikion, now lost, celebrating a naval victory. An inscription on the relief records it being sculpted by famed Rhodian sculptor Pythokritos son of Timocharis. This was before I was doing photogrammetry, so I had just taken photos from multiple angles as reference. Luckily these 13 iPhone 4S photos were enough for a decent model!
