Horseshoe crabs are marine arthropods belonging to subphylum Chelicerata. Their population is under threat due to habitat loss and over-exploitation. In this study, we generated a whole-genome assembly of coastal horseshoe crab (Tachypleus gigas) collected in Singapore. This assembly will be used as a template for population genomic study of horseshoe crabs in and around Singapore.
