In this study we sampled environmental DNA from 5 water bodies within 2 national parks in eastern Zambia. We amplified a 97bp fragment of the 12s ribosomal gene using vertebrate specific primers. We sequenced the pool of 96 PCR products with both nanopore and Illumina.
