This dataset has monthly Barometric (Air) Pressure data from the
TAO/TRITON (Pacific Ocean, https://www.pmel.noaa.gov/gtmba/ ),
RAMA (Indian Ocean, https://www.pmel.noaa.gov/gtmba/pmel-theme/indian-ocean-rama ), and
PIRATA (Atlantic Ocean, https://www.pmel.noaa.gov/gtmba/pirata/ )
arrays of moored buoys which transmit oceanographic and meteorological data to shore in real-time via the Argos satellite system. These buoys are major components of the CLIVAR climate analysis project and the GOOS, GCOS, and GEOSS observing systems. Monthly data is an average of daily values collected during a month. A minimum of 15 daily values are required to compute a monthly average. This dataset contains realtime and delayed mode data (see the 'source' variable). For more information, see
https://www.pmel.noaa.gov/gtmba/mission .

history=This dataset has data from the TAO/TRITON, RAMA, and PIRATA projects.
This dataset is a product of the TAO Project Office at NOAA/PMEL.
2024-11-04 Bob Simons at NOAA/NMFS/SWFSC/ERD (bob.simons@noaa.gov) fully refreshed ERD's copy of this dataset by downloading all of the .cdf files from the PMEL TAO FTP site.

2024年11月4日,NOAA/NMFS/SWFSC/ERD的Bob Simons(bob.simons@noaa.gov)通过从PMEL TAO FTP站点下载所有.cdf文件,全面更新了ERD的数据副本。如需联系,请联系Dai.C.McClurg@noaa.gov。 相关出版物应发送至:NOAA/Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory,GTMBA项目办公室,7600 Sand Point Way NE,Seattle, WA 98115。
