mixed DNA library derived from three organisms genome sequencing project

DNA was created by mixing equimolar amount of Plasmodium falciparum 3D7, Escherichia coli MG1655 and Rhodobacter sphaeroides 2.4.1 by Dan Aird and Andreas Gnirke at the Broad Institute. These three organisms were selected because they span the GC bias spectrum. This mixed DNA samples was created to test GC bias conditions on Illumina''s GAII and Hi-Seq sequencers and to develop PCR conditions which will offset some of the bias associated with sequencing.
