Effects of beavers on terrestrial invertebrate biomass and diversity is dependent on time of the season (Data and Code)

This study examined the effects of beaver activity on ground-dwelling invertebrate biomass and diversity across mid-summer and early autumn. Beaver effects were seasonally dependent, with significant interactions between activity and date. Certain invertebrate taxa were linked to beaver-modified habitats, and habitat heterogeneity (NDVI) also varied with beaver presence over time. These results suggest that beavers enhance invertebrate biodiversity by increasing habitat heterogeneity, but are also season dependent.
