Annual cropping intensity maps for croplands in Southeast Asia derived from Himawari-8/9 AHI, from 2016 to 2023

This dataset provides annual cropping intensity maps for croplands in Southeast Asia from 2016 to 2023. The maps were derived from Himawari-8/9 Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) EVI2 time-series and represent the number of detected cropping cycles per year for each cropland pixel. The dataset includes annual GeoTIFF files of cropping intensity for 2016–2023 and a regional summary table. Pixel values in the GeoTIFF files are defined as 0 = non-cropland or masked area, 1 = single cropping, 2 = double cropping, and 3 = triple cropping. The dataset covers croplands in Southeast Asia within 92°E–127°E and 9°S–23°N.
