The interaction between pollinators and orchids constitutes a fundamental aspect of Darwin's evolutionary theory. While the flower fragrant attracts special pollinators, the molecular mechanism of specialized aroma biosynthesis is still elusive in orchids. Here, we presented the chromosome-scale genome of Angraecum sesquipedale, an endemic orchid with fragrant flowers in Madagascar.
