Norovirus GII is among the top viral causes of epidemic gastroenteritis in susceptible children and adults globally. Whole genome sequence data is vital for understanding norovirus transmission and evolution patterns. This study aimed to utilize a whole genome sequencing approach to obtain sequence information from known norovirus RT-PCR positives collected in 2019 from children with diarrhoea as one of their illness symptoms in Kilifi, Kenya.
