Heavy rainfall and strong winds in the northwest of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia have caused rivers to overflow, flash floods, landslides and storm damage. The most affected areas are Tetovo city and municipality, and surrounding areas. Many homes were damaged, several were evacuated. At least seven villages in the region lost road access because of mudslides, while the storm also caused bridges to collapse. The event claimed the lives of several people.<br>
