The Role of Clinopyroxene on the Rheology of Dry Olivine-Clinopyroxene Aggregates

This data set comprises raw deformation data for dry olivine–clinopyroxene aggregates deformed at confining pressures of ~300 MPa and temperatures of 1423–1523 K in a Paterson gas-medium apparatus. It can be used to investigate the influence of the secondary phase Cpx on the rheology of the matrix Ol. The results show that increasing Cpx content leads to systematic variations in the strengths of Ol–Cpx aggregates and in the associated rheological parameters.
